Egg Trays

Egg trays are often called filler trays and usually have 30 pockets (that is, they hold 30 eggs).
Eggs are either sold uncovered in the tray or labelled and wrapped with plastic film. The most important outlets for eggs in trays are in the food services industry (restaurants, institutions, hotels, etc.).
Ludowici egg trays are generally natural in colour and have superior denesting capabilities. They are packed in bundles of 125 pieces.
Egg trays can be folded in half to make a 15 egg pack. This pack is normally labelled and then wrapped in plastic film (this is a cheap alternative 15 egg pack compared to a 15 egg carton).

Flat Top Carton

The Ludowici Packaging flat top egg carton has a larger print area on the lid than the Hawk Universal carton. Flat top cartons are common around the world and are usually direct printed or have a label applied to them.
Labelling can provide "photographic style" images on the egg carton but come at an additional cost to the pack. Labels can provide much more information than direct printing on cartons as very small letters remain readable.

Eggs Are Good For Health

Eggs contain almost every essential vitamin and mineral that humans need except Vitamin C. Eggs are high in protein with the bio-availability of egg protein at 93.7% compared with 84.5% for milk, 76% for fish and 74.3% for beef.
The American Heart Association has no dietary restrictions on eggs as a result of much research which shows that eggs do not contribute to cardiovascular disease and in fact provide a wealth of nutritional benefits including promoting proper foetal development.
Eggs are low cost, convenient to use, easily digested, have high nutrient value with protein, riboflavin, folate and vitamins (B12, D and E). They even come in their own natural (shell) wrapper !!
